Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Duration: Long Term Contract role

Job Description:
Responsibilities of the vendor:
  • This role reports to the Client Program Office whose responsible for the successful delivery of the CARES business solution ensuring project plans strictly adhere to scheduled deadlines minimizing resource constraints across multiple project dependencies in the portfolio.
  • Project management including but not limited to creating project plans (schedules), setting and balancing priorities in managing multiple milestones, and deliverables for internal and external entities (i.e. internal business units, external vendors and clients)
  • Provides leadership managing all aspects of multiple related projects supporting the alignment with the goals and strategic objectives of the program.
  • Proactively identifies issues and risks, providing mitigation strategies, minimizing impact on related projects and driving resolutions with appropriate delegations and actions
  • Demonstrates flexibility with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Provides exemplary communications and or presentations to executive sponsors and program managers; both written and oral with technical and non-technical audiences,

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. (A major in Engineering, Computer Science, Information System Management, Mathematics, or a related field preferred but not required.)
  • 12+ years of project management experience in SDLC Methodologies (waterfall, agile, SCRUM), working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment and had worked on 2 or more projects for minimum of 3+ years for each project.
  • 8-years of experience managing complex multi-year web-based projects involving vendor professional services delivering a government solution.
  • Direct experience managing fixed-price, deliverable-based, contracted projects with multiple workstreams.
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic, and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across, and down multiple business, and technology organizations.

Additional Qualifications:
  • A certification in Project Management is preferred but not required.
  • Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change, and competing demands.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills in managing high profile projects and project teams with excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Proven ability to work creatively, and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives.
  • Experience leading, motivating, and managing various project, and program team sizes, including internal, and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance.
