DescriptionCitizens’ Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) organization is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to help drive and lead the building, maintaining, and refining of machine-learning capabilities that will unlock sustainable value creation through intelligent product and relationship pricing.In this role, you will:

Serve as the lead analytics partner for deposits & relationship pricing, building critical relationships with partners in product, pricing & profitability, finance, data, and technology to collaboratively bring transformational ML capabilities to market

Own the strategy and roadmap for pricing modeling and experimentation

Design, develop, deploy, and integrate price elasticity models into pricing and relationship decision engines

Synthesize analytic findings into recommended actions to improve business outcomes

Communicate analytical insights as a clear and approachable story, reducing complexity as appropriate for different audiences

Familiarity with designing experiments, including randomized controlled trials and discrete choice experiments

Maintain a mindset aligned to Citizens’ commitment to an Agile operating model and to managing ML models as a product

A successful incumbent will have:

Master’s or PhD degree in statistics, economics, analytics, data science, or related field

3-5 years of experience in preparing raw data for analysis and extracting useful information by applying advanced technical and statistical programming techniques

Solid command of the theory and application of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms, including causal inference techniques

Proficient in Python and SQL

Applied experience with the full model development lifecycle, from design and development to deployment, monitoring, and governance

A strong sense of intellectual curiosity and ability to thrive and deliver value in an entrepreneurial working environment

Ability to work in a high-performance professional environment, with quick turn-around and evolving priorities

Commitment to intellectual rigor and observance of compliance and data privacy controls

A disciplined approach to making decisions and setting expectations

Experience working with large datasets (greater than 1 million records) and applying techniques to efficiently manage big data

Experience working with technical collaboration and project management tools such as Git and Jira (preferred)

Experience working with financial datasets (preferred)
