Description We’re hiring a Staff Accountant directly for our client that’s located in Columbus, OH.The Staff Accountant will support the finance team by performing various daily and monthly accounting functions according to established policies, procedures and controls. This includes general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial analysis and financial statement preparation.You will play an essential role maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions and upholding financial data integrity through processes, reconciliations and analytics support. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain breadth in accounting skills.Requirements Responsibilities
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
Reconcile balance sheet accounts
Prepare monthly journal entries under the direction of the Controller
Complete monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes
Ensure timely and accurate financial record-keeping
Assist with financial statement and general ledger audits
Analyze accounting data and produce reports
Identify process improvements and recommend solutions
Take on ad-hoc finance projects as needed
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
4+ years' experience as a Staff Accountant
Excellent understanding of GAAP principles and financial controls
Proficiency with ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong attention to detail and time management abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Well organized with capability to prioritize high workloads
