The Stock Clerk performs a variety of duties involved in the ordering, receiving, handling, marking, preparing, and issuing stock. The Stock Clerk will work in one or more departments within the CIIP (e.g., issue line, warehouse, offices, etc.), or performs rotational assignment within all departments. ResponsibilitiesMAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:

Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice.

Utilizes knowledge of inventory databases to conduct location surveys, add/delete locations, process physical inventories and correct recorded balances with D8 or D9 as necessary.

Verifies the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifest, storage receipts, or other records.

Examines materials to verify if that was delivered was the type specified and checks for damaged goods.

Stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size or type of material.

Fills orders or issues supplies from stock.

Prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock.

Requisitions articles to fill incoming orders.

Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.

May make adjustments or repairs to articles carried in stock and may cut stock to site to fill orders.

Able to react to change productively and handle additional tasks as assigned.

As required, performs a variety of tasks to assist in the CIIP clothing/footwear operations such as: Measuring, fitting, and issuing boots, shoes, and clothing to authorized service members processing through the Clothing Initial Issue Point (CIIP), preparing replenish request forms for restocking clothing/footwear; obtaining additional stock from warehouse back-up stock; relocating stock for convenience in resupplying bins, shelves and from one warehouse to another warehouse; moving boxes and pallets of clothing/footwear from trucks to warehouse area; removing clothing/footwear from boxes and places on hangers or in bins; participating in inventories of CIIP stock; conducting showdown inspections of clothing/footwear, and maintaining work areas and floor in a clean and orderly condition.

Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements.

Ensures that all safety precautions are adhered to at all times.

Performs other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.

Working Environment:

Stock Clerk functions in an office and shop environment in a stationary position approximately 50 percent of the time or more. However, duties may involve the conduct of work in the outdoors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic condition. Must be able to operate standard office equipment like a computer, copy machine and printer. Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. Employee may occasionally be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Rarely will an employee be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise. A normal work week is 40 hours (5 days per week) must be willing to work additional hours when mission requires.

Must be capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling loads up to 50 pounds.

Operates a GSA vehicle as required in, on, and around the local area.

QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS; Education/Certifications : One year of experience may be substituted for one year of education, if a degree is required.

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Valid Driver's License without restrictions.

Must be able to pass the standard background check.

Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.

NAC-I clearance required.

Experience:

Two (2) years' or more supply chain or logistical operations

Possess high ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism.

Must have a general familiarity with computer elements to perform functional activities such as data entry, data verification, transaction preparation

Possess the ability to understand SOPs, Work Instructions, Army Regulations, Technical Manuals and applicable Department of Defense forms.

Ability to prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and interact at all levels.

Capacity to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.

Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to interact at all levels.

Other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
