Become a maker of possible with us.Job Position Title: Supply Chain Management Master Data & Inventory Control LeaderFunction: ProcurementLocation: Columbus WestJob Group/Grade: JG4Position Summary:The SCM Master Data & Inventory Control Leader plays a key role in managing and maintaining site Master Data and Supply Chain analytics. Collaborating closely with Business Process Key Users and stakeholders, this position ensures the accuracy and integrity of data within SAP/ERP/MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and other relevant Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems. With a keen eye for detail and a dedication to efficiency, this role oversees data governance efforts, supports project launches, analyzes material usage variances, and manages inventory-related master data elements. As a leader in the area, this role will provide cross-functional communication and collaboration across the site and global teams driving initiatives to enhance data management processes.This position provides leadership in SAP/MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) effectiveness for the Columbus plant. As subject matter expert in SAP/MES, responsibilities including working with plant leads, super users, department SAP champions, and planners to train, resolve reporting and inventory issues, as well as ensuring SAP/MES reporting guidelines are maintained, leading the plant for SAP training, metrics, SAP/MES enhancements and implementations, analyzing business processes for improvements to product flow and MUV, and working with department resources to manage critical to flow processes by identifying projects to improve production cycle time, waste reduction, and on-time delivery. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures, and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.Duties/Responsibilities:

SCM Knowledge: Apply expertise in supply chain principles encompassing manufacturing, logistics, procurement, and distribution.

Lead SAP/MES team which oversees SAP/MES systems

Maintain SAP/MES established structure for training and support – Process leads, Department leads, Super users, and Champions

Must demonstrate agility in day-to-day support of multiple tasks and critical processes across 24/7 operations

Analyze Material Usage Variances: Identify production model accuracy and areas for improvement through variance analysis.

Data Accuracy: Enforce data standards to guarantee accuracy in SAP/MES and SCM systems.

Data Integrity: Oversee data governance to uphold integrity across platforms, ensuring adherence to master data standards.

Project / Launch Support: Assist in mass creation or modification of master data for new product launches or process changes.

Data Governance: Drive initiatives to optimize data management processes and rectify data quality issues.

Monthly SCM Performance Reports: Compile and analyze SCM performance metrics for informed decision-making.

Monthly Site Inventory Projection: Support inventory projection processes and optimize warehouse space utilization.

Inventory-Related Master Data Management: Manage product master data, safety stock levels and replenishment rules (collaborating with production planners.) Sphere of Influence (liaison) – Works with other functions within the plant and other BD locations.

Lead site in SAP/MES implementations and change management projects as needed

Develop department Champions/Super users

Maintain SAP/MES guidelines up-to-date and maintain master copy of each

Work with process teams to ensure consistency in SAP processes are maintained throughout the plant

Manage work order review process and procedures

Serve as site lead for Security access including WPR (work process roles) delegations and approvals

Serve as site lead for SAP/MES training & certification

Sever as site lead for annual SAP Access Review, together with the department Champions

Certify Super user and Champion duties, assist with training as needed

Process lead for SAP/MES metrics. Communicate plant metrics monthly. Ensure department resources are accountable for metrics

Request access and train as needed on metrics in BI reporting

SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) owner of inventory related controls

Partner with Finance & Operations to coordinate inventory process

Ensure department resources are utilizing key tools for maintaining system accuracy – COGI, Warehouse Activity Monitor, Apriso Inventory Reconciliation

Site Coordinator for SAP Quarterly/Monthly release cycles – communicate changes and coordinate necessary testing with Franklin Lakes & Cap Gemini

Work with Site Validation Coordinator to ensure compliance to testing

Consult with other site SAP leads to gain understanding of best practices

Liaison to Franklin Lakes and/or Cap Gemini for SAP and MES issues, validations, improvements

Key player in SAP/MES upgrades/implementations – testing documentation and validation

Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

Education and Experience

Associate’s degree in business, manufacturing, or related field required.

Bachelor’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Business, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics with 5-8 years of relevant experience.

Proficiency in enterprise-level master data systems with demonstrated ability to handle significant transactions.

Strong customer focus and clear communication skills.

Adaptability to dynamic conditions and priorities with a commitment to collaborative problem-solving.

Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and drive outcomes.

Technical Skills RequirementsRequired:

Effective problem-solving abilities to address discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Power BI for data manipulation and reporting.
