Job Title: Work CoordinatorWay of Work: Hybrid (2 days per week in-office, 3 days per week remote)Location: 290 W Nationwide Blvd. Columbus, Ohio.Job SummaryThis role, as part of the Integration Center organization, provides clerical support for various gas work activities across NiSource. Primary responsibilities of this role are processing invoices in WMS, Ariba, and other NiSource approved payment systems while being accountable for the specific tasks (daily, weekly, monthly) as defined for the position’s dedicated area of responsibility. This role will collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders to meet strategic goals and objectives. Adherence to NiSource’s critical Core 4 is paramount to ensure operational rigor and advancement of SMS as our core operating model.KEY RESULTS:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Promotes and assures a safe working environment and public safety

Excellent internal and external customer service through strong and effective communication and problem-solving skills

Accurate and timely work preparation tasks including reviewing, validating, and coding invoices in NiSource approved systems

Ensures accurate systems of record

Utilize reports as they pertain to invoice tasks/function

Effective prioritization of tasks to ensure customer, company and compliance dates are met

Exercises judgment, within scope, to determine best approach to achieve desired outcome

Utilization of various PC Applications & Mainframe Applications

Required Qualifications for Position

High school diploma or equivalent

Must have a strong focus on detail orientation

Strong written and oral communication skills

Experience with PC Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Ability to function in a team environment and collaborate within and across organizational lines

Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated success in providing extraordinary customer service with internal and external customers

Must be self-motivated to manage daily responsibilities with limited direction in a changing, fast paced environment in a professional and responsive manner

Results oriented and possesses effective problem-solving skills

Ability to manage and execute tasks with multiple conflicting priorities

Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret technical data.

Preferred Qualifications for Position

Proficient in WMS, DIS, NiFast and other company systems

Familiar with Company Policies and Procedures

Basic understanding of the utility industry

Knowledge or understanding of accounting principles

Experience working with field operations

Knowledge of the natural gas industry and general customer expectations

Responsibilities Coordinates initial and ongoing development of education programs. Recommends new programs and technology based on evaluation and needs assessment. Participates in the development of an annual plan for community education that is consistent with strategic priorities.
