Watershed Kitchen & Bar is looking for a hard-working, self-motivated Food Runner to join our team Tuesday through Saturday! The Food Runner will work closely with our kitchen team and Executive Chef to ensure food leaves the kitchen in a timely manner and is delivered to the correct table and guest. Attention to detail and strong mental organization is a must for this position. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to learn more about the hospitality industry!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Assisting the Executive Chef in wiping plates, garnishing, expediting tickets, and restocking the hot line
-Maintaining a clean station and expo window
-Keeping sauces full on the line and replenishing backups in the coolers
-Delivering food to the correct table and guest, while announcing the dishes in an informed manner
-Relaying messages from the table to the appropriate server or manager
-Minor prep work
Minimum Requirements:
-Previous experience in the industry is preferred, but not required
-Must be 18 years old or older
-Must have reliable transportation
-Must be able to work 5 evenings a week, including weekends and some holidays
-Must be able to carry three plates at a time, including some larger, heavy plates
-Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time, carry upwards of 20 lbs, stoop, bend, and kneel
