Director of Operations:

Position Purpose

Under the guidance and direction of the company Owner, employee is expected to conduct all business in accordance with Company policies and procedures, and is responsible for ensuring financial and operational objectives are met, including employee relations; hiring; training and supervision of department leads as well as all tasks and/or projects performed by employees. Specific responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

Essential Job Functions:

Assess workload and develop a daily, weekly, monthly schedule according to deadlines, assigning all team members based on skill set and their ability to meet necessary deadlines.

Be available to step in and assist team members by completing requested services in the event other team members aren’t available, and/or the workload requires additional man power.

Communication with customers.

Make regular visits to job sites and perform inspections to ensure all team members exhibit the knowledge and skills needed to perform services effectively. Report back to ownership any deficiencies noted.

Partner with ownership to help refine current processes if necessary, developing more effective processes.

Continually educate and implement appropriate training to all team members ensuring safety and control of supplies and tools.

Occasionally (no less than quarterly) perform team meetings with designated leads to ensure all are in compliance with company policies and procedures. Ensure that leads are effectively communicating with team members confirming company standard is being met including accountability of all team members.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years prior experience.

Must possess basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry Knowledge/skills.

Must possess knowledge of all building code requirements for residential and commercial process, both interior and exterior.

Working knowledge of blueprints.

Effective customer service skills and the ability to manage difficult and/or emotional situations.

Ability to respond promptly to customer needs and adequately adjust when necessary to meet additional and/or higher priority needs of customer, with limited guidance from ownership. Use time wisely and possess the ability to plan and organize all work requested.

Possess the ability to set goals, objectives and develop realistic action plans.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Ability to focus on solving conflict, maintain confidentiality.

Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to balance team and individual responsibilities, while promoting a positive team spirit.

Excellent attendance/punctuality and dependability.

Take ownership and responsibility for own actions.

Physical Requirements:

Stand and walk or sit alternatively depending on specific needs for the day.
