Carpenter Job Summary
We are currently seeking a highly-skilled Carpenter to join our team. You will collaborate with the project manager and building team to construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, wallboard, and laminate. Structures include but not limited to framework, partitions, door and window frames, wooden stairways, rafters, exterior decking/trim and flooring. You must know how to read and interpret blueprints, work with raw and finish materials, and have a good working knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment.
Carpenter Duties and Responsibilities
Take measurements and calculate the sizes and amounts of materials needed for the project
Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurements
Able to repair existing damaged structures such as: decks, fencing, wall structures, door and windows
Ability to install various types of molding and prepare for paint.
Inspect products and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed
Comply with all company and governmental safety guidelines
Carpenter Requirements and Qualifications
2+ years of professional carpentry experience a plus
Able to work with others in a professional manner
Strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and construction
Proficient in using electrical and hand tools as well as measurement tools
Good physical condition, stamina, and dexterity
Organized, cleanly and efficient
Communicative - and a problem solver
Must have own tools necessary to complete jobs as needed
Truck required for hauling material in and out of property
