Job Description
Responsible for driving and inventorying shipments as assigned
Must be qualified and remain qualified to drive by our vehicle. This includes meeting the requirements of criminal background check, driving records, physical, drug screen and any or all other information as required by state and federal regulations and by the Company.
Correctly complete all paperwork for designated job
Verifies and unloads order details and obtains customer signature on delivery tickets
Follows directions or uses GPS to locate delivery address or location efficiently
Records all pertinent delivery information as needed for accurate tracking
Treats ALL of our customers with courtesy and respect. Acts as a customer service liaison between the customer site and sort personnel, including listening and assisting in resolving customer complaints
Safely drivers and maintain all company vehicles (owned or rented) as assigned
Properly track and document driver logs
Report any issues or incident to dispatch
Inspect truck before and after trip
Follow all safety procedures and policies. Report all violations of such procedures and policies to supervisor.
Work with dispatch daily, in person or by the phone as required by Terminal Manager to check work schedule unless otherwise directed by supervisor
Report to work promptly at dispatched time
All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Must have a clean MVR Report
Must have at least 1+ years of verifiable driving experience
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
Timely and efficiently completion of tasks and responsibilities
Must have good attendance
Promotes teamwork and cooperative efforts
Must be able to preform basic arithmetical calculations including addition, subtractions, division, and multiplication
Must be able to interact well with others
Must be capable of working under tight constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
Regularly required to use hands to handle materials, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 20 lbs, occasionally lifting and/or moving objects that weigh more than 50 lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, or kneel. kneel, crouch, or crawl.
