We are seeking a part-time Legal Secretary to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support to lawyers and enhance office effectiveness. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Proficiency in legal practice management software, such as Clio, is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Handle billing and invoicing processes
Case Management
Document preparation of legal documents and correspondence
Answer phone calls with professionalism and courtesy
Schedule and coordinate appointments and meetings
Communicate with clients, court officials, and other parties as required
Administrative Support/General Office Duties
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar administrative role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with legal terminology, documents, and procedures
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and accuracy
