Apex Systems is looking for a Meter and Revenue Operations Analyst in Columbus, Ohio.

Job Overview

  • MRO Support provides system administration and support enabling efficient and effective Meter and Revenue Operations for our Operating Companies.
  • Team is responsible for meter head-end systems such as Landis + Gyr Command Center, Itron Utility IQ, Clevest Fieldnet, MV90 and other meter data systems such as Oracle's Meter Data Management System and Meter Asset Management Systems.
  • Team drives key strategic initiatives that enhance and improve performance of our systems and business processes, enabling the company to adapt to rapidly changing meter technology.
  • This position will ensure accurate and timely meter data records for the following Business Processes: Billing, Meter Asset Management and Financial Reporting, Regulatory obligations, Revenue protection activities, meter inventory audits, and Mass Meter Installations.
  • Collaborate with our Operating Company customers, C&DS peers and IT partners, driving for continuous improvement.
  • This position works under close supervision and assists others to provide support to the Operating Company MRO Organizations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Identify and initiate process improvements
  • Create business process documentation to support customers in the Operating Companies
  • Work to resolve outstanding system issues by applying knowledge of application functionality and associated business processes. Interact effectively with Business Unit and IT personnel to provide input to change requests and to ensure the completeness of enhancement requirements and process considerations.
  • Use oral and written communication in a clear, organized and timely manner. Obtain and share information related to current issues that may influence departmental and/or corporate operations.
  • Establish clear, practical goals and milestones that contribute to own performance and to corporate goals.

  • Experience working in meter systems, MV90, MDS, MACSS, MDM, and Head End Systems
  • Review reports and identify anomalies by applying analytical skills and assist with report generation.
  • Assist in the resolution of end users requests and system defects.
  • Communicate with end users to understand issues and questions on issues, and set expectations of resolution timeframe based on priorities
  • Contribute to the definition and creation of system queries and data extract requests to support and fulfill internal and Operating Company requests
  • Develop subject matter expertise in one or more applications and systems supporting Operating Company MRO organizations


Minimum Requirements:
  • Organizational, time management and communication skills are mandatory.
  • Competency in PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook is required.
  • Knowledge of Excel, QMF (SQL) and other analytical/query tools is preferred.
  • Prior experience with Pervasive PSQL, DB2 databases is highly preferred.
  • Competency in company-utilized software, including ServiceNow, MACSS, MDS, MV90 is preferred.
  • Prior experience with MV90 interval data collection is desired
  • Knowledge of utility billing systems is highly preferred.
  • Work Experience:
    • 6 Years of Experience in IT systems support with High School Diploma
    • 2 Years of Experience in IT systems support with Associate's Degree
    • 0 Years of Experience in IT systems support with Bachelor's Degree in business or IT
    • Typically is achieved with 0-5 years of related experience.
    • Candidates have typically obtained an Associates, or Bachelor Degree in Business, IT, or related field
