This is a BASE SALARY + BONUS role (Daily Local Travel Required - THIS ROLE IS "IN THE FIELD" AT SERVICE LOCATIONS )
Locally owned Footprints Floors of Columbus is looking for a Installation Coordinator to act as a liaison and support our flooring projects in the field from start to finish. You will report directly to the owner. We are looking for a trustworthy & responsible person who is prompt, detail oriented, organized and has good communication skills. This position requires someone who is level-headed and even-tempered when working with customers & crews and who is also a good problem solver. Flooring experience would be valued but is NOT required. The ability to stay positive at all times, honesty, and ability to be respectful and work well with ALL people is a MUST. This is not an office job / No office to report to. The Ideal candidate should be comfortable working around active construction in homes and on other job sites and also comfortable getting your hands dirty. Bilingual ability (Spanish) is not a requirement but is also highly valued.
Primary Responsibilities - (Training to be provided)
Represent our brand at Job Sites | Our crews are proficient in hardwood, tile, LVP/LVT and laminate installation. The Installation Coordinator should:
Start new jobs with customer and crew, “walk through” the space & scope of the project with all parties be sure to answer any questions and work out the logistics. ie. parking, workspace, restroom use, daily work stop time, etc.
Visit each job site at least once per day and make sure jobs are running smoothly.
Interact with both crews and customers always staying positive and pleasant even when dealing with challenges or something “unreasonable”.
Make sure everything in the work order is being completed, e.g. stain samples, correct stain application, proper expansion joints, proper direction of planks, proper installation methods, etc.
Account for correct materials and job measurements as needed.
Deliver extra material and/or collect leftover material as needed. (ability to occasionally lift /carry 50lbs)
Perform moisture testing as needed and take pictures of readings (moisture meter will be provided).
Resolve all problems within skill level, if they can be completed in “15 minutes”.
Report any issues above and beyond expertise to owner ASAP so that they can provide guidance and/or engage with the crew and/or customer.
Additional Responsibilities
Update invoice / add change orders as needed in system
Issue and discuss final invoice with customer
Collect Final Payments / deposit to bank
Update customer status to complete in CRM system
Maintain any records necessary for project
Answer any follow up questions or calls after completion
Participate in team meetings and continuing education within industry when offered
Ensure we are earning and collecting 5 star reviews
Other:
This is a remote position, requires daily LOCAL travel, work from the road / from home
Service area is Dayton & Columbus Ohio focused mostly within a 25 mile radius of each.
401K with matching (eligibility after 12 months)
Biweekly pay
$45K base
+ Bonus potential up to $7500 per/yr
A logo’d company vehicle may be provided after a proven track record.
Phone and computer provided; Company vehicle may be provided after sufficient time in position
