In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that our educators and students have seamless access to the technology they need to succeed.

As an Educational Technology Support Specialist, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to integrate and maintain educational technology across the districts we serve. Your expertise will not only help resolve technical issues but also empower educators to effectively use technology in their teaching. eSchool Consultants is one of a handful of 5 Star rated charter school management companies across the state of Ohio. We serve three local charter schools in the Columbus, OH area.

Recommended Qualification:

● Bachelor’s Degree in Relevant Field

● 3+ Years Experience in Education Technology

● Advanced Knowledge of Network and System Administration

● Advanced Knowledge of Educational Software

● Proficiency in Creating and Maintaining Technical Documents

● Relevant Certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Google Workspace Administrator, or Similar

● Experience Managing Technology Projects, Including Implementation and Training

Minimum Qualifications:

● Associate’s Degree in Relevant Field

● 1-2 Years Experience in IT Support or Similar Role

● Basic Understanding of Operating Systems and Networking Concepts

● Experience Troubleshooting Hardware and Software

● Strong Verbal and Written Communications Skills and the Ability to Communicate Technical Concepts to Non-Technical Users

● Demonstrated Ability to Provide Effective Customer Service and Support

Experience

● IT Help Desk: 3-Year Relevant Experience (Preferred)

● Technical Proficiency: 3-Year Relevant Experience (Preferred)

● Training and Documentation Experience (Preferred)

● Educational Technology Experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

● Provides technical support to users by researching and answering questions, troubleshooting problems, and maintaining workstation and LAN performance.

● Provides answers to clients by identifying problems, researching answers, and guiding clients through corrective steps.

● Improves client references by writing and maintaining documentation.

● Participates in development of client training programs by identifying learning issues and recommending instructional language.

● Accommodates client disabilities by recommending devices and techniques.

● Avoids legal challenges by monitoring compliance with service agreements.

● Improves system performance by identifying problems and recommending changes.

● Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and maintaining personal networks.

● Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

● Other responsibilities as assigned by eSchool Consultants and/or the charter schools.

Work Environment

This position will be on-site between three locations. Mileage reimbursement will be provided between all locations. You will be under the supervision of the Director of Information Technology with input from other directors as needed.
