JOB SUMMARY: As a member of the service department team, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of the service department. In addition, you will work with store management and shop foreman (if applicable) to maintain a safe, organized, and highly productive department. ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE FUNCTIONS Manage the day-to-day operations of the service department Perform a daily overview of shop cleanliness, organization, and safety Maintain the down equipment report; updates created and sent to Management weekly along with a plan for repair on the aged assets Oversee, manage, and prioritize the flow of equipment repairs on a daily basis Train and coach the service technicians on proper work order procedures and the warranty process Set clear and measurable objectives for the entire team on a monthly basis Evaluate and create a game plan for all individual team members on a monthly basis; provide training and/or coaching for those team members who are underperforming or who need additional skills Review and adjust staffing levels, on a monthly basis, to assure the needs of the store and the customers are met Apply basic knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and internal combustion systems; monitor all incoming equipment for necessary preventative maintenance needs on a daily basis Oversee and manage the make-ready process for rental equipment on a daily basis PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred 4 - 6 years of experience in a management role Prior experience with agricultural or construction equipment preferred Must be highly organized Strong work ethic and a team player High degree of professionalism; strong customer service skills are a must Strong interpersonal communication skills Ability to communicate with various levels of management Ability to exercise good decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills, especially in a high-stress environment Ability to multi-task and exercise good time management skillsVisit the link below to submit an application form.https://franklinequipmentjobs.com/service-manager/70
