Position: Maintenance Technician
Location: Columbus, OH
We are looking to fill an opening ASAP for a Property Maintenance position. The ideal candidate is thorough, organized, and communicates well with tenant's and co-workers.

Parker Realty Associates and Parker Property Management is a property management organization offering quality affordable housing in the Columbus East North Hilliard, Dublin Upper Arlington, OH market.
We seek team members who can help develop and maintain our residential properties and commercial offices.
The Position:
The ideal candidate is thorough, familiar with apartment and property maintenance and has experience with rent-ready preparations for new tenants.
Job Type: Full-time, 35- 40-hour/week position; scheduled working hours are Monday - Friday 8-9am-5-6pm, ability to provide on call work. More hours possible on weekends depending on needs.
Base Pay: Starting at $25.00 per hour
Competitive compensation package based upon experience. Final pay rate and compensation to be offered commensurate with experience.
Primary Duties:
Perform routine preventative general maintenance on the property, buildings and apartments scattered sites.
Rent-ready or tenant repairs and services may include:
re-key locks/ make copies of keys
repair or replace mini-blinds, ceiling fans, etc.
repair plaster/drywall holes in walls, touch-up paint as necessary
inspect bathroom tiles, perform minor repairs/replacements
check faucets, drain plugs and repair/replace as necessary for sinks and bathtubs
routine care for HVAC and appliances; including changing filters; examine other issues and diagnose, and repair
as necessary
Additional repairs as needed- may include:
replace or repair windows, latches, screens, hinges, entry doors or sliding glass doors
repair shelves, baseboards and closet doors
replace HVAC or appliances as necessary, moving from on site inventory to unit for installation, including haul off
of old units
Maintain any property owned tools and equipment
Assist in moving abandoned furniture, appliances, trash, etc., to dumpster when necessary
Prep/paint vacant apartment and/ or assist with cleaning, as needed, including operating carpet-cleaning equipment
Additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
High school diploma/GED required
Must pass full background check at time of hiring
Valid Drivers License required; company vehicle on site
Strong organizational skills
Good time management
Thorough understanding and experience to operate power tools and equipment
1 year of basic maintenance skills that could include:
Painting – drywall – tile – grounds and parking area maintenance - general plumbing and electric maintenance
Preferred Experience:
2-5 years experience in one or more of the following:
Plumbing - Electrical - Carpentry - Appliance Repair - HVAC
