Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Piano Instructor to join our team at Guitar Center! As a Piano Instructor, you will provide private lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, helping them achieve their musical goals.
Responsibilities:
- Teach private piano lessons to students of all ages and skill levels
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to each student's needs and goals
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to students
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment
- Communicate with parents and students regarding lesson schedules, progress, and concerns.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in music or music education (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of teaching experience (piano)
- Strong piano performance and pedagogy skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with students of all ages and skill levels
- Reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in music or music education
- Experience teaching various piano styles (classical, jazz, pop)
- Familiarity with music notation software and technology
- Certification in piano pedagogy (e.g., RCM, MTNA)
