Facility:Outpatient Care Center - BeavercreekDepartment:Outreach/OffsiteSchedule:Part timeHours:20Job Details:The Laboratory Staff Assistant (LSA) performs a variety of services, including phlebotomy and specimen collection. Phlebotomy and specimen collection on patients varying from newborn to 26-year-old. Sometimes older, autistic, and mentally delayed. Also, specimen receiving/processing on using appropriate techniques as established by the lab departments of Dayton Children’s Hospital. The duties of this position include all aspects of QA/QC for the center's lab and contents, which must be kept to the standards of Dayton Children's and guidelines set by its governing bodies (OSHA, CAP, AABB, JCAHO, ODH, etc.). Additional requirements include a working knowledge of SunQuest, LIS applicable functions and may include patient registration in EPIC, order entry in the LIS. All certification, training documents and subsequent QA/QC monitoring must meet all requirements established by Dayton Children's Hospital, maintaining the integrity, quality, and reputation of Laboratory Services. May include limited travel to different Dayton Children’s Hospital Outpatient locations. Phlebotomy certification required after 1 year.CPR: Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation - American Heart Association required within 30 days of start date.Department Specific Job Details:Shift: 8:30AM-6:00PM, 2 days per week. Every other Saturday.
