This person serves as a quality expert for the division. This individual is the primary resource for APPs in the division related to inquiry. This individual is responsible for managing all QI, EBP, and research projects in the Urgent Care and Kids Express. This position reports directly to the division APP Supervisor and requires significant cross functional leadership in coordinating the activities of division APRNs and PAs within his/her area of responsibility with clinical division physician and administrative leadership.

Assist supervisor and manager in optimizing processes for registration, pre-registration, pre-service estimate and point of service collections, and optimal patient experiences. Participate in developing departmental quality improvement initiatives. Effectively communicate with all departments and clinics (internal/external) to Dayton Children’s. Engage both internal and external customers with DCH approved de-escalation techniques in the absence of manager or supervisor. Work in accordance with the hospitals mission and vision statement, values, guiding behaviors and strategic goals.

Facility:Dayton Children\'s - South CampusDepartment:South Lab Technical SupervisorSchedule:Full timeHours:32Job Details:Performs a full range of simple-to-complex diagnostic tests and laboratory services in an off-site laboratory following the established guidelines of DC main Laboratory. Provides specialized expertise in one or more areas of chemistry, hematology, serology, microbiology, virology, molecular diagnostics or transfusion medicine. Ensures sample suitability and stability and may include sample collection. Professional application of the principles, theories, and techniques of Clinical Laboratory Science to produce timely and accurate results as well as evaluate, judge and interpret results. Accepts and processes samples for on-site testing or forwards samples to references laboratories. Maintains and ensures functionality of laboratory equipment and instruments. Ensures all quality control and quality assurance aspects of testing are maintained. Ensures laboratory is prepared for unannounced inspections from regulatory agencies. Is able to use all Laboratory test ordering systems, reference procedures, and other areas responsible for the functionality of off-site labs.
