Now Hiring: Harvest Floor and Processing Room Employee
Position Roles and Duties:
Harvest Floor Employee
o Performs daily production on the harvest floor, completing all necessary tasks.
Unload Livestock
Processing Livestock
Record keeping for harvest floor
o Reports directly to the Production Manager.
Processing Room/ Meat Trimmer Employee
o Preforms daily production in the processing room, completing all necessary tasks as needed:
Trim meat from the bones
Processing and packaging cuts to the order specifications.
Processing and packaging of ground beef and sausage to order specifications.
Record keeping of weights, orders, amounts and packages.
o Reports directly to the Production Manager.
Qualifications:
Must have reliable transportation, not fear blood, comfortable working with raw meat and able to lift 60lbs + on a regular basis.
No meat trimming or wrapping experience needed! We will teach you!
Comfortable handling knives and working with meat processing equipment (grinders, slicers, etc.)
Must be comfortable and able to learn our technology (Lap top computer with Custom Meat Solutions Software, Clover POS, Scales, etc.).
Willingness and ability to learn terms and standards used in the meat processing industry.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time when in the processing room.
Must be able to work alone and with others, be self-motivated.
Must be able to communicate with the public in a professional and appropriate manner.
MUST BE ABLE TO FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. Please read that again.
Must be able to work Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm with a half hour lunch break.
