Looking for a machine operator to setup and run multiple waterjet machines.
A valid drivers license is required for the position. Our ideal candidate would be mechanical minded, have some familiarity with machining and measuring parts with calipers, and most importantly have attention to detail. I cannot stress the attention to detail enough as so many of our problems are prevented by having good attention to detail. Like noticing if something sounds different, looks different, measures a little different.etc. Experience is not necessary but can be a plus. Duties will include setting up, running, and monitoring waterjet machines. Driving a forklift to unload and load machine and vehicles, packing of parts, sandblasting parts, dumping sand/ mud hoppers, cleaning shop, you name it. We are a small business (4 guys currently) and if you've ever worked at a small company, everyone has to pitch in regardless of the task.
The job is kinda dirty and loud and you'll need to wear hearing protection most of the time. Steel toed rubber boots are also also a requirement. The dirt is (95% of the time) just sand/mud and water, no oil or grease so you don't have that to deal with. We also provide you with uniforms (nice ones, cargo pants, and button down shirts) that we pay for 100% so you don't have to damage you own clothing. You can stay mostly clean during the day and most dirt can be brushed of at the end of the day.
