Full Job Description
Feed linen into ironers.
Hand folds and stacks linen in appropriate bundles.
Determines quality of linen and rejects unacceptable pieces.
Binds, marks, wraps, and packs bundles according to standards.
Keeps accurate records of work produced.
Sorts soiled linen according to item, size, style, and color.
Dump bags onto conveyor belts or work surfaces.
Push and pull carts of soiled linen.
Wear protective wearing apparel.
Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Essential:
Ability to push 600 pound carts; ability to lift 50-75 pounds; ability to work at a steady rapid pace; ability to bend; ability to work in heat; ability to stand eight to ten hours.
Non-essential:
Ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds.
