Ferco is looking for a Receiving Inspector to join our growing team.
Our Receivers are responsible for ensuring accurate and seamless reception and processing of incoming raw materials, purchased items, and components. The ideal team member will have proven Receiving experience in a manufacturing environment. Full-time position available on 1st shift.
The ideal candidate for this position would be able to do the following and possess the following
-Performs visual and dimensional inspection for receiving, in-process, and final inspection of both parts and processes to company specifications and customer expectations in a manner consistent with the company's quality and productivity standards.
-Approves incoming raw materials and components by confirming specifications and Purchase Order Requirements; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
-Responsible for all functions and paperwork relating to receiving including verifying and maintain records of all incoming shipments or material.
-Verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, POs, packing slips, or other records and ensure necessary follow up to correct discrepancies, such as wrong sku’s or non-conforming parts.
-Has an up to date working knowledge of different manufacturing processes.
-Ability to work with ERP system to process parts through the system.
-Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard times.
-Demonstrate a positive attitude, along with a willingness to do what needs to be done (without taking shortcuts), to move to other lines and departments to fill company needs, and to learn and improve own skills.
-Follows all safety guidelines and wears all Personal Protective Equipment.
-Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned by Group Leader or any other member of the leadership team
-All of these objectives must be carried out in a safe and appropriate manner while maintaining an acceptable level of quality and efficiency.
Job Requirements:
-High School diploma or equivalent.
-3 to 5 years receiver experience preferred
-Moderate computer knowledge and skills
-Knowledge of tooling and gages required to perform receiving inspections

-Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under minimal supervision

-High level of attention to detail to ensure product meets quality expectations.
-Take initiative to suggest ideas that would increase productivity
Position Demands
-Able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time on a daily basis
-Able to bend, twist, turn, carry, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, etc
-Able to successfully pass vision screens
-Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects.
Schedules
-1st Shift: Monday - Thursday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm
-Overtime possible daily and Fridays on both shifts
