Are you a mindful, detail-oriented professional with a love of homes, an eye for possible problems, and a passion for homes? We are looking for motivated and experienced individuals to join our team as home inspectors in Columbus, Ohio.
Responsibilities
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive visual inspections of residential properties
You will be expected to evaluate the condition of plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling systems, and other components of the home, as well as identify any code violations, defects, or safety hazards
You will communicate your findings to clients in a clear and concise report that outlines the condition of the home and explains any areas of concern
You will also be responsible for answering client questions and providing advice on how to address any issues that are identified during the inspection
Conduct detailed, non-invasive inspections of residential properties
Use specialized tools and equipment to inspect structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
Prepare clear, concise, and professional inspection reports for clients
Explain complex technical issues and inspection findings in layman's terms to clients
Provide recommendations for repairs or replacements of defective items
Follow relevant industry standards and regulations to ensure thorough and accurate inspections
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional demeanor and customer service mindset
Experience
You have to be a licensed inspector in Ohio.
In-depth knowledge of residential building systems, components, and construction
practices.
Strong understanding of local building codes and regulations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to identify potential issues and hazards
Proficient in using inspection tools and software.
