Actalent is looking for an engineer to add to our team for a client on the east side of Cleveland! Description:
Prepare estimates and quotes for customers based on detailed drawings and specifications.
Develop manufacturing processes for CNC Mills and CNC Lathes as well as assembly.
Cost accounting principles such as labor rates, burden rates, and profit margins.
Purchasing costs (raw material, outside processing, etc.).
CAD/CAM programming/drafting of all new Customer parts for Production, including updating new revisions as received from Customers.
Adherence to the policies and procedures of the AS9100 guidelines through the use of the Quality Manual and the Quality Management Software.
Operate production equipment when appropriately needed and as trained
Perform Fixture and Tool Design
Ability to understand Solid Models, and utilize viewing software to actively quote and verify part geometry.
Collaborate with sales team to meet customer specific and internal objectives.
MUST HAVES:
3+ years of Engineering Estimating experience
Understanding of manufacturing principals, horizontal/vertical mills
Solidworks/CAD/CAM – Drafting Experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
GD&T knowledge
ERP experience
Customer interfacing skills
Experience with product life cycle/seeing project through completion
NICE TO HAVES:
Mazatrol CNC Programming software
CADCAM programming software a plus, but not required.
CMM measuring software
BS in Mechanical Engineering
Experience in manual screw machines and CNC Lathes
Job Shop environment
