DescriptionAccountemps is trying to fill an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk position with an organization that offers a stimulating work environment among a team of experienced, motivated professionals. The candidate in this role will work closely with and report to the Accounting Manager. Other responsibilities include attending to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department,. The primary focus of this role is matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Elyria, Ohio area and will be a long-term temporary position.Your responsibilities in this role
Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
Complete full-cycle A/P
Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Wire transfer experience required
Proficiency in Enter Invoices
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
1+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Strong attention to detail
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
