This individual ensures compliance with standardized protocols while maintaining quality control in a fast-paced environment. As part of a collaborative team, Laboratory Technologists are responsible for processing samples within the paternity lab while adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines to support DDC’s mission of providing reliable DNA testing services.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDetermine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteriaPerform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPsProcess biological samples, including extraction, quantification, amplification, and analysis of DNA.Operate laboratory instruments and equipment.Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipmentCollaborate effectively with laboratory staff, supervisors, and management to optimize workflows.Ensure and maintain compliance with the Company’s quality system requirements through training and adherence to policies, procedures and processesMaintain confidentiality of sensitive information and data.Other duties as assigned or become evident
