The HR Generalist reports to the corporate functions HR Business Partner, interacting regularly with employees and leadership within that business unit. In collaboration with the HR Business Partner, the HR Generalist partners with the business to ensure the group's short-term and strategic goals are achieved through the effective use of the organization’s human capital. Accountabilities
Provide consultation on workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, organizational excellence, employee relations, HR analytics, M&A activity, , diversity & inclusion and coaching & counseling to business leaders and employees within the corporate functions.
Discuss staffing needs, document performance accountabilities and competencies (job descriptions) and identify development/training needs with managers/supervisors.
Coach managers/supervisors and employees, providing feedback on personal and management effectiveness. Discuss employee career paths with managers, recommending suitable workforce strategies to drive results.
Assist the business with strategic workforce planning, and collaborate with corporate Talent Acquisition to recruit and select a qualified and diverse talent pool; support the preparation of new employee hiring and on-boarding paperwork
Function as an internal consultant to assess the HR implications of various policies and programs; investigate and resolve day-to-day employee relations concerns, either directly or through advice to management.
Work with or refer employees to corporate HR team or outsourced provider for appropriate issue resolution, e.g. benefits questions, leaves of absence, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration or human resources or another related program.
Knowledge of the functional areas of HR.
Minimum of 5 years in HR generalist functions.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or Master's degree in HR Administration.
SHRM or SPHR certification.
