Primary Purpose:
Technical SME supporting the implementation and steady-state maintenance for infrastructure systems comprised of Windows AD, VM, server, & storage. Hands on management in the use of current technologies and assist in architecting future technology implementations. Collaborate with other IT team members on systems administration and engineering theories, concepts, and methods to develop and implement migrations strategies to new technology. Play a role in the technical development and the build out, configuration, and governance of the overall infrastructure environments as they collaborate with the project/development teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure high availability to infrastructure systems in implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of physical and logical systems
  • Architect implementation of new technologies (cloud infrastructure)
  • Develop and analyze highly complex system standards, thresholds, and recommendations to maximize system performance
  • Develops strategies to manage the frequency of appropriate support package/patch application
  • Researches current systems technology and serves as subject matter expert on complex systems processes and procedures
  • Manage projects that affect the entire company as well as individual clients
  • Support and act as a technical resource for the Systems, App/Dev, Database and Reporting teams
  • Technically document system topology and design
  • Coordinate technical documentation for backups, email procedures, and all other related documentation as needed
  • Assist in creating and maintaining business continuity including planning, implementation, and disaster recovery
  • Provide recommendations for systems and database additions and upgrades
  • Work with infrastructure counterparts to evaluate new technology
  • Act as a technical project lead on IT Operations or business projects.

Minimum Skills and Competencies:
  • Associate's or technical degree or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Enterprise IT support and systems engineering
  • 5+ years of Microsoft operating system experience, with a focus in administering Microsoft Server technologies, specifically Windows Server
  • 5+ years of experience installing/configuring/managing Microsoft Windows servers
  • 5+ years of experience administering AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, & Microsoft Exchange
  • 5+ years of experience w/Virtualization Technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV) installation, configuration & advanced administration
  • Excellent skillsets in PowerShell and other scripting languages
  • Detailed understanding of computer server architectures and peripherals
  • Above average level working knowledge of virtualization and cloud computing concepts and technologies
  • Understanding of and resolving common virtual machine and host server bottlenecks
  • Solid understanding of server backup technologies & methodologies
  • Ability to scope and specify technical solutions to satisfy customer requirement
  • Strong understanding of Information Assurance concepts and security in virtual environments
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory and networking concepts such as TCP/IP and other networking protocols and services: DNS, WINS, DHCP, Routing, MAC
  • Working knowledge of Intune, mobile device management, mobile application management desired

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with SCCM system administration, engineering, architecture and design
  • Experience with System Center suite of applications such as SCORCH and SCOM
  • Advanced experience with Operations System Deployment (OSD) around imaging, analysis and troubleshooting and automating those issue detections/resolutions (Level III/IIII Support)
  • Able to create new SCCM documentation on best practices and industry standards to deliver to those operational support teams, creating custom reports in SCCM (SQL)
  • Supporting Microsoft Server/SCCM; Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager
  • SQL-based application administration; create custom SCCM reports and SQL queries in SSRS.
  • Active Directory process automation; Active Directory Group policy administration


Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
