Genesis10 is seeking an IOS/Android Mobile Apps Developer for a leading Retail company. This is a full-time direct hire role in Akron, OH.
Job Summary:
This team member will join a group of IT professionals focusing on design and develop solutions for iOS and Android Mobile Apps. This will require extensive experience in UI and mobile app development to ensure the solution implemented follows accepted patterns and interacts successfully with existing and new applications as they are designed and implemented.This person will be part of a larger solution team that designs, develops, implements, and supports the broader customer-facing platforms and services to meet business needs. This is an excellent opportunity to work on various internal and external applications focused on automating and modernizing the Digital Commerce technology framework and processes built around it in a great workenvironment. Responsibilities extend to the Store Support Center (SSC), 3 distribution centers and multi-channel retail practices through over 820 stores and client website. The total user environment consists of over 22,000 team members.
Job Duties:
Responsible for designing and developing highly usable interfaces for multiple channels and devices
Develop and implement solutions of high performing and reusable code for UI components.
Build prototypes to rapidly iterate on the problem and zero in on the optimal customer experience
Analyze usability and work with digital user experience team to continually enhance user experience of our mobile apps
Utilizes expertise and skills to lead project team members to follow best practices for accessibility, usability, and performance design of user interface
Work with product managers estimating and designing simple, secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions that meet business requirements
Communicates with project team members and stakeholders to provide timely and accurate information and status updates
Work in a collaborative Agile/Scrum team environment
Track and resolve functional defects of varying sizes and severity
Develop and perform unit testing, identify & fix defects and support defect analysis and resolution in integrated environments
Be highly motivated to accomplish team goals in a fast-paced environment
Develop detailed technical specifications based on standards and best practices
Analyze Business Requirements, Functional and Technical Specifications and estimate Level Of Effort to implement them
Develop code to specifications, based on standard development and documentation standards, best practices and per compliance rules
Participate in structured team code reviews to make sure the code developed by the team members follows the same guiding principles described above.
Requirements:
Education Minimum: Bachelor's degree in computer science, business or related field
Experience Minimum: 2+ years experience in mobile app development in iOS or Android
Experience Preferred: 5+ years relevant experience in a large retail information technology environment
Deep understanding of web and user interface development technologies HTML5, JS, CSS, AJAX
Significant exposure to various facets of theiOS or Android operating system andSDK
Complete understanding of the web security vulnerabilities and pitfalls (OWASP).
Performance analysis and tuning experience including memory usage, CPU utilization, leak checking
Excellent troubleshooting skills to solve challenging problems
Experience/knowledge in mobile application software development tools (e.g. GIT, Gerrit), testing, process (agile, Kanban) and configuration management
Experience with build automation software such Jenkins or Bamboo
Hands on Experience with at least one Mobile App Development framework (e.g. Cordova)
Experience with using MVC design pattern to develop UI components is highly desired
Experience with web services and handling JSON objects is required
Knowledge and experience designing or working in SPA and PWA is preferred
Must have a firm understanding of Responsive Web Design
Complete understanding of the web security vulnerabilities and pitfalls (OWASP) is required
Prior experience working on making mobile apps accessible to all users is preferred
