Job Title: Chiropractic Front Desk Receptionist
Job Summary:
The Chiropractic Front Desk Receptionist plays a key role in creating a positive, welcoming environment for patients. This individual will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, responsible for managing patient appointments, handling administrative tasks, and supporting office operations to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
1Greeting and Patient Interaction:
◦Warmly greet patients as they arrive, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued.
◦Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and schedule appointments.
◦Provide information about chiropractic services and procedures to patients.
◦Manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
2Appointment Scheduling:
◦Manage and coordinate appointment schedules for the chiropractor and other staff members.
◦Confirm and reschedule appointments as necessary.
◦Maintain an organized and up-to-date calendar.
3Patient Records Management:
◦Ensure all patient information is entered accurately into the electronic health records (EHR) system.
◦Verify insurance details, and assist with intake forms and consent documentation.
◦Maintain confidentiality of patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
4Billing and Insurance:
◦Assist with processing insurance claims, verify insurance benefits, and handle billing inquiries.
◦Collect co-pays and payments from patients at time of service.
◦Collaborate with office manager and billing staff to resolve any outstanding payment issues.
5General Office Administration:
◦Ensure the front desk area is tidy and organized.
◦Perform light office duties, such as filing, faxing, and photocopying.
◦Maintain inventory of office supplies and order new supplies as needed.
6Communication:
◦Relay messages from patients to chiropractors and staff.
◦Handle patient concerns or complaints in a calm and professional manner, escalating to management when necessary.
◦Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor, contributing to a supportive, patient-centric atmosphere.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in medical administration or related field preferred.
Previous experience in a front desk, receptionist, or administrative role (healthcare or chiropractic experience is a plus).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Basic knowledge of insurance procedures and medical terminology preferred.
Proficiency with office software and EHR systems.
