Description:Manage (Perform) packaging development activity for new model projectsStudy of part design change pointsEstablish an ideal pack design that will maintain part qualityAchieve supply chain operating cost targets implementing best pack designEstablish development activity plan based on overall project Specified Action Plan (SAP)Coordinate stakeholders requirementsConduct meetings throughout development flow to achieve project goalsClearly understand and communicate project activities Verify fabricator deliverables and schedulesEffectively use the technical experience to sell ideas and secure buy-in for optimal pack design.Ability to understand, collaborate and gain buy-in with stakeholdersCommunicate project details to the level of audiences understanding Build strong relationships with key stakeholders.Summarize required change points and concerns with justification identifiedEvaluate, test and implement packaging designs and change points to validate packaging maintains part quality specsAbility to design, procure, verify and conduct trials for effectiveness while identifying critical impact or risks.Recognize potential impact and past problem history that impacts the stakeholderManage timing related to change pointsUnderstand department requirements and purpose of each build event (DAN-0, DAN, QC, RC, PP)Ensure each packaging maturation stage is documented using standard development forms Confirm all data created during the project is complete, accurate, and useable for all downstream customersMaintain file structure, naming convention and revisionsEnsure Customers needs are metCustomers have zero impact due to missed project targetsCustomer supports and agrees the deliverables are in the best interest of the overall unit.Escalate issues to management to ensure allocation of recourses and appropriate action is taken in a timely mannerSkills:Project managementAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Ability to identify new model changes Understand Design Change Flow Understand budget payment and timing Knowledge of past problem history related to supply base Knowledge of process, equipment, business and human constraints Understand daily department activity and business plan CRF reporting and tracking Understand Project SAP milestones and targets Ability to conduct meetings during new model development Ability to understand, collaborate and gain buy-in with key stakeholders Communication and presentation skills- understanding the audience and level of detail Relationship building Effective communication File management and organization Ability to maintain data accuracy Ability to summarize concerns and justify needs Ability to escalate problems if they occur Knowledge of Honda Systems Ability to utilize DCMS: read drawings and MI’s Knowledge of New model flow (E-Flow) Mentorship skills Knowledge of safety ergonomics Honda Business Knowledge General Knowledge of Honda genpos and their unique conditions and characteristics An independent worker and team player who can work with a variety of teams on-site and remotely. Capable of keeping track of multiple projects and maintaining accurate data and documentation. Maintain and build good relationships while working in a high paced business environment with multiple interpersonal viewpoints and expectations. Frequent overtime and regional travel. Required to attend and lead collaboration meetings. Effectively sell ideas and collect feedback to complete pack development with key stakeholders.
