Clinical Technician

Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN. Patient care may include vital signs, weight, assisting patients with personal care and activities of daily living, patient transfers/transport, pulse oximetry, point of care testing, dressing changes, applying external monitoring devices and removing urinary Foley catheter.

Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, 3mental and emotional conditions to an RN.

Assist with keeping patients' rooms clean and orderly.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

A high school diploma or GED.

Nursing students: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

One year of recent, full-time patient care experience OR nursing student who has completed at least one clinical rotation as part of an accredited nursing school program OR military experience in the medical field.

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). If you do not hold this certification, you must obtain it during your new hire period.

Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination; involves extensive standing and walking.

Medium Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force rarely, and/or 0 to 50 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.

Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

  • Cleveland Clinic has a full time Pediatric Hospital Medicine night shift opportunity for a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner working primarily inpatient with newborns through 21 years of age and children who are inpatients at the CCF Children\'s Rehabilitation hospital Rehab, Hillcrest Hospital, and Fairview Hospital. The patient population also includes Pediatric Hospital Medicine patients that require hospitalization for illnesses/diseases including respiratory, GI, dermatologic, etc. The PNPs are part of the medical staff and take direct responsibility for the medical care of assigned patients. The patient population that the NP will provide care to includes children/adolescents with complex medical conditions and technology dependence and children/adolescents with the need for comprehensive rehabilitation after trauma or surgeries. The successful candidate will also participate in interdisciplinary rounds, team meetings and hospital leadership project participation as appropriate. The candidate must have prescriptive authority. This shift is nights. The position will require weekends and holidays but no call. New graduate Pediatric Nurse Practitioners are welcome to apply, acute care certified pediatric NPs preferred.
