PAY: $40 to 45 an hour depending on experience
SCHEDULE/ENVIRONMENT: Fully On-site.
Description:
This individual will create shop drawings for customer approval and fabrication
Works closely with all departments (project management, machining, and fabrication)
Collaborate with the design team, project managers and clients to understand project specifications and requirements.
Interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to create accurate drafts and provide value-engineering insights.
Use Inventor, Woodwork for Inventor, or other drafting software to create precise and detailed millwork plans.
Develop millwork solutions incorporating cabinetry, casework, fixtures and wall system products
Work with management to identify and implement continuous improvement ideas.
Work with project and production management to ensure projects are completed on time
Assist in developing written processes and procedures for engineering department
Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in millwork design and engineering.
MUST HAVES:
3+ years of design experience in the architectural, woodworking and/or millwork industry
Experience designing in Autodesk Inventor/Solidworks
Understanding of millwork, various construction materials, fixtures, wall system products and custom case goods
Ability to read and interpret commercial architectural drawings
NICE TO HAVES:
Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Engineering or Architecture
Understanding design and techniques for metal fabrication
Project management experience
Familiarity with CNC machining
