Modis IT is seeking a Server / Network Engineer for a direct hire position in the Greater Cleveland area. The Server / Network Engineer will be responsible for servers, network devices, and security for the company.
Responsibilities:
Design, installation, maintenance, enhancement, optimization, security, and documentation of network and systems.
Monitor, diagnose, resolve, and optimize systems.
Provide hands-on, day-to-day support.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in IT or similar field of study
5+ years of experience in network / systems engineering
Understanding of TCP/IP networking including switching, routing, VLANs, DNS, wired/wireless connectivity, and firewalls
Experience managing Windows Server 2016 and 2019, Active Directory, Group Policy, O365, Exchange, MDM, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure
PowerShell experience is a plus
VMware ESXi 6.5 or higher, including clustering, high availability, and vSAN
Strong understanding of information security best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
VoIP phone systems
Hosted/Cloud infrastructure solutions
Understanding of SDN fundamentals
Backup and Disaster recovery solutions
Project management experience
