Bon Appetit has an immediate opening for a Dining Hall Manager at Oberlin College. The successful applicant should be comfortable in both back of house (kitchen) and front of house (dining area) operations.
Responsibilities:
Assists in ensuring a safe working environment throughout the facility for all employees.
Assists in monitoring employee productivity and provides suggestions for increased service or productivity.
Assists in the supervision of day-to-day activities of subordinates and assigns responsibilities for specific work.
Works with students/faculty to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service and problem resolution.
Assists the Catering Director with catering events.
Works closely with the kitchen to ensure the proper setup, signage and display of food.
Orients and trains employees on safety, customer service and food safety policies and procedures.
The shift for this position will be afternoons to late evenings with an occasional breakfast and lunch shift.
Requirements:
Supervisory experience and food service experience (front or back of the house) is required to be considered for this position.
