Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of marine engines, systems, and components (inboard, outboard, sterndrive, etc.).
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, fuel, steering, and hydraulic systems.
Conduct seasonal services, including winterization, de-winterization, and routine inspections.
Install and maintain marine electronics, such as GPS, sonar, and navigation systems.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts, and labor.
Ensure all work is performed to high safety and quality standards.
Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs and recommendations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a marine mechanic or technician.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a variety of marine engine types (Mercury, Yamaha, Volvo Penta, etc.).
Strong knowledge of marine systems and components.
Certifications such as ABYC, Yamaha, or Mercury (preferred but not required).
Ability to read and interpret service manuals and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical ability to work in a marine environment, including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
