Position: Walleye Fishing Charter Captain
Location: Huron, Oh
Employment Type: seasonal
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate and navigate a charter boat for walleye fishing trips.
Guide guests in catching walleye, including providing instructions on techniques and equipment use.
Ensure a memorable, enjoyable, and safe experience for all guests.
Perform pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance of the boat and fishing equipment.
Keep up-to-date on local fishing conditions and regulations.
Clean and prepare the catch for guests as requested.
Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor, building rapport with clients.
Qualifications:
Valid U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s License (OUPV/Six-Pack or higher).
Strong knowledge of walleye fishing techniques, seasonal behavior, and local waters.
Experience operating and maintaining fishing boats.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Basic first aid and CPR certification (preferred).
Passion for fishing and sharing your knowledge with others.
