Position Summary
Our Family Preservation Team has an immediate opening for a Family Worker (FW). The FW collaborates with families to build a partnership to ensure their needs are met. FW's strive to provide individualized, strengths-based, culturally sensitive, and goal- driven service. This position requires local travel and flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule in a high-demand work situation.Essential Responsibilities
To ensure proper assessment the Family Worker will:
Gathers and understands current and past psychosocial histories.
Uses diagnostic tools to provide comprehensive information for a treatment plan.
Assesses risk factors related to safety and well being of all family members.
Provides clinical direction that meet the needs of the child and family.
To ensure the development of effective treatment plan/services, the Family Worker will:
Plans and leads treatment team meetings for the purpose of creating treatment plans/ISP.
Works with team members to develop ownership for the treatment plan/ISP.
Writes and utilizes specific measurable goals, objectives, and time frames for each child and family.
Develops crisis plan for each child and family.
To ensure implementation and evaluation of effective treatment plans that fosters goal attainment, the Family Worker will:
Delivers services outlined in treatment plan/ISP.
Monitors and records client/family progress.
Provides advocacy for family to outside agencies.
Evaluates and reforms goals and objectives as necessary.
Provides support to families in times of crisis.
To ensure the development and maintenance of successful working relationships, the Family Worker will collaborate with:
Consumer child, family and their natural support system.
Internal and external stakeholders.
Program team members.
Supervisor and organizational support staff.
Qualifications
Clearances. State/FBI clearances; Child Abuse.
Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.
Working Conditions
Physical Demands: Requires vision, speech, and hearing.
Environmental Factors:  Community, home, school.
Working Hours: A non-traditional work schedule as defined by service needs.

Bachelors or better in Human Services
ExperienceRequired
