In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality care to patients in various settings, including clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and acute care environments. Your primary focus will be on implementing treatment plans and assisting patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.A caregiver in this position works days, 7:00am-7:30pm.A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Administer patient treatments according to department policies and procedures. Uses skilled techniques to provide patient care.
Complete patient related and non-patient related documentation in a timely manner.
Communicate patient care activities. Keeps the therapist informed of the patient's progress, need for re-evaluation, new problems, etc.
Achieve personal and professional development through participation in continuing education, in-services, staff orientation and student programs.
Follow system and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and safety.
Complete mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements.
Maintain applicable certification/licensure. Maintains required BLS.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Associate degree in Physical Therapy.
Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Ohio.
Demonstrated clinical proficiency.
Six to nine months of experience to become familiar and proficient with the hospital's procedures.
