Description Robert Half is seeking candidates for a full-time Staff Accountant position, which will become a critical part of an innovative company. The Staff Accountant will mainly have accounts payable functions, along with journal entries, assist with monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. The ideal candidate for this position can perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Assist with month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision
Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting
Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting
Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Requirements
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
5+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Microsoft Excel experience
Proficiency in month end closings
General ledger experience
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Ability to meet deadlines
Current and relevant ERP system experience, ideally Infor-Visual.
