Welder/Fabricator Position

RAMM Fence Systems, Inc. has an opening for an experienced Welder/Fabricator in our small family-owned fabrication shop. RAMM welders will perform GMAW and some GTAW on custom projects with the use of Fixtures/templates on thin gauge mild steel, which WILL require you to read blueprints to complete the assignments. RAMM employees work Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm from when the summer heat begins until Labor Day. We work 7am- 3:30 after Labor Day until the summer heat begins. This position reports directly to the Lead Welder
The position the employee takes at our company will not be limited to welding and fabrication of parts. You will be lifting, turning, and leaning over and handling pieces and parts that may exceed 50lbs. on a daily basis.
Responsibilities:
1. Know and understand weld placements and have a good attention to detail.
2. Follow ALL processes and procedures given to the welder, such as loading and unloading fixtures and steps taking while fabricating projects.
3. MUST take pride and responsibility in your work.
4. Making quality pieces and parts by putting pride into your work (We set the standard in the equine industry. We have set this standard because of the materials used, designs made, and more than anything the pride we take in our quality of our parts. You are expected to take pride in your work and do an exceptional job every time)
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Lift up to 50lbs. anything over 50lbs, there will be assistance.
2. Be able to have the stamina and ability to be on your feet for 8 hour shifts.
3. Weld light gauge material with Proper heat and wire speed to eliminate excess weld slag/spatter, and blow thru.
4. Have knowledge and able to set up welders/Plasma cutters for different steel you’re
Cutting/welding on.
5. Read and understand blue prints for fabrication.
6. Read a tape measure to 1/16 increments.
7. MUST HAVE DEPENDABLE/RELIABLE MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION AND COMMUNICATION.

9. Hourly pay, annual range of $37,440-$47,840 based on experience, positive attitude and attendance.
RAMM Fence Systems, Inc. offer paid vacation after 90 days, health insurance benefits and 401K. Paid vacation is 1 week in the first year and additionally 6 paid holidays. Paid vacation is 2 weeks after 2 years and additionally 6 paid holidays Equal opportunity Employer.
