Date Posted:2024-08-26Country:United States of AmericaLocation:HOH12: Wheels & Brakes - Troy 101 Waco Street, Troy, OH, 45373 USAPosition Role Type:OnsiteParticipants in the Engineering internship program will have the opportunity to rotate through an engineering department within Collins Aerospace to learn aspects of the design, test, analysis and customer support of aircraft wheels and brakes and braking systems.Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January-August 2025 (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity.What You Will Do:

Assists in performing analysis at all levels of the total system product including concept, design, fabrication, modeling, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

Gains knowledge on performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

Assistance in ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Assists in decomposing customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, and generates verification criteria and plans for the requirements.

What You Will Learn:

Learns about the configuration process, performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Gain knowledge about designing electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

Gain knowledge in analyzing and evaluating new or improved electronic components. Includes power generation, transmission and distribution, rotating machinery, illumination, wire communication systems and servomechanisms.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Must be a commutable distance to Troy, OH to work an onsite schedule. This position may be eligible for relocation.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
