Deli Clerk and Cook positions available - We are also looking for an evening Food Service Supervisor (1pm-9pm shift)
Performs work in all areas of the deli and hot foods departments, at the direction of the manager. Prepares customer orders; performs suggestive selling; create and prepare food items such as salads, pizzas, sandwiches, sliced meats and cheese, and fried items; prepares, cooks, slices and mixes product; dates, weights, sells, packages and merchandises product; reconditions product; assists customers with order selection; communicates with vendors and customers; logs spoilage and waste; maintains product freshness; maintains a safe and clean work environment; unloads product from trucks; stages stock in the backroom, cooler, and freezer; stocks products on racks and shelves up to six feet high; operates mixing machines, slicers, ovens, scales, fryers, mechanical price marking devices, knives, case cutters and stock dollies; and performs other duties as assigned.
Required:
Ability to work up to eight hours per day
Ability to read, write, add, subtract, and multiply
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
Ability to reach and stock items up to six feet high
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, including recipes
Ability to operate stock dollies, mixing machines, slicers, ovens, scales, fryers, pricing devices and knives
Ability to pull or push wheeled vehicles weighting up to 500 pounds
Ability to communicate clearly with customers and vendors
Ability to perform freshness checks and monitor temperatures
Preferred qualities:
Experience in deli, food service, or commercial cooking
Positive attitude and experience providing a high level of customer service
Experience with food safety requirements
Ability to create additional business for the deli and hot foods departments
Willingness to cross train and support other departments as needed
Part-time and full-time available. (You must be willing to work evening shifts until 9pm)
