Quality TechnicianShift: 3pm-11pm (Monday-Friday)Pay Rate: $20 -$24 per hourTypical Day: Will be performing in process inspection of variety of parts used in new construction of buildings Will look at dimensional requirements on blueprint and use calipers and micrometers to verify parts are to print Will work directly with machine operators and engineers If a part has a quality error will send summary to engineer to change the claim Crate non-conforming tickets and determine how many parts were affected by the error Will heavily utilize Excel and Microsoft office Will determine if parts can be fixed or sent to scrap Will work in a lab setting for some of the job to perform functional testing Will use a tensile machine / MTS machine (static materials test system) Will test the piece on how it will be used in the field application Functional testing will have the part being tested through computer system to see if I meets requirements – will enter variables and use micrometers and calipers and read blueprints Tensile machine will test structural integrity of the part and check if it mates with another part as well as pulls it to a certain load until it breaks Will need to have mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills – some fixtures are not exact since there are so many mounting applicationsAdditional Skills & Qualifications:
Must have at least 2 years of quality inspection in manufacturing
Must have experience using micrometers and calipers
Must be able to lift 40 lbs
Must have experience testing and troubleshooting metal and steel parts
Must have Microsoft excel and Microsoft office experience
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
