Examines legal documents submitted to the court for adherence to law or court procedures and posts, files or routes documents
Explains procedures or forms to parties, the general public and attorneys
Maintains calendar of cases to be heard and assigns hearing dates
Prepares notices of hearing and related documents
Sets up delinquent/unruly, abuse/neglect/dependent, adult, custody, child support and tobacco case files in the computer database; assigns case numbers and prepares case files
Records case dispositions, court orders and arrangements for payment of court fees into computer database
Filing
Issues subpoenas
Processes license suspensions
Prepares DL-6’s and forwards to BMV
Appoints attorneys/guardians ad litem
Copies and distributes judgment entries/decisions to appropriate parties
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer skills for Microsoft Word and Excel. Legal and/or Juvenile experience preferred.
