Position Summary

Responsibilities entail design and development of test instrumentation with analog signal conditioning electronics, analog-to-digital converters (ADC), digital-to-analog converters (DAC), switching circuits for automated testing, analog & digital filters, DC-DC converters processing signals from DC to 10MHz. This position requires expertise in high accuracy, low noise instrumentation using analog and digital COTS components and their practical implementation into marketable products. The individual is responsible for all phases of product development from conceptualization, through design, and production release.


  • Provide technical expertise to evaluate customer technical requirements, recommend solutions, define product specifications, support the sales quoting process, and participate in customer reviews, working within constraints of program schedules, cost, and overall business goals.
  • Write technical proposals and provide estimates for recurring and non-recurring Engineering and Manufacturing effort to meet technical, schedule, and cost requirements.
  • Responsible for circuit design and simulation, schematic capture, PCB layout, calibration and testing of test instrumentation taking into consideration electrical, mechanical, software, testing, cost, performance, and manufacturing constraints.
  • Responsible for project management and meeting deadlines
  • Exceptional ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness in analog electronic design.
  • Work with mechanical, electrical, and PCB layout engineers to create and release all necessary documentation for Manufacturing to build and test the products.
  • Create and implement test plans and procedures for products based on given requirements. Analyze test results to verify product performance and compliance to requirements.
  • Support Applications Engineering & Manufacturing to resolve technical related issues
  • Write Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) and identify test equipment needed to validate performance.
  • Support manufacturing to build, test, and troubleshoot products.
