Description A company in the Service industry wants a Database Administrator who loves the challenge of solving problems with multiple layers of complexity. The Database Administrator role is a permanent opportunity and is situated in Westlake, Ohio.Your responsibilities in this role
Monitor for deviation in baseline system performance, and advise on and execute improvements to slow running queries
Manage all database instances across development, staging, and production environments, handling installation, configuration, and maintenance
Figure out the most effective way to increase performance including hardware purchases, server configuration changes, or index/query changes
Fix database service outages when they happen, which can include after hours and weekends
Give advice on database design, tuning options, and other possible issues
Ensure the design and execution of database server topology, configuration, and maintenance meet SLA objectives
Reduce false alarms to a minimum by configuring database monitoring utilities Requirements - Good understanding of relational database management systems
Prior experience adjusting queries to enhance performance
Prior experience building and maintaining documentation
Strong familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server
Solid understanding of Crystal Enterprise
Knowledge of SQL Queries
Working knowledge of storage and server hardware required
1+ years of database experience
