Phillips 66 & YOU - Together we can fuel the futureThe Senior Analyst, Production and Revenue , is responsible for overseeing production and revenue functions managed by the third-party service provider. This role ensures accurate processing, reconciliation, and analysis of lease crude tickets, revenue distribution, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Senior Analyst monitors service provider performance to guarantee alignment with internal standards and metrics while identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation.Responsibilities May Include:
Oversight of Service Provider
Ensure lease crude tickets are received, verified, and accurately processed in alignment with delivery volumes and company records.
Oversee reconciliation of lease crude tickets with production reports, pipeline statements, and third-party data.
Monitor and approve revenue distribution packets for accuracy and compliance prior to distribution.
Coordinate with service provider to ensure timely resolution of discrepancies, such as missing or duplicate tickets.
Manage and oversee compliance-related annual tasks, including 1099/1042 reporting, escheat, and the release of minimum suspense payments.
Review and approve non-standard payment processes as needed, ensuring adherence to a five-day notification requirement for special payments.
Facilitate effective communication with external stakeholders, including carriers, interest owners, and operators, to support smooth revenue operations.
Financial Controls and Regulatory Compliance
Complete SOX controls, including price comparisons and Crude Oil Purchase Agreement (COPA) reviews.
Conduct monthly and quarterly reconciliations of revenue accounts in SAP through BlackLine.
Ensure service provider complies with Interest Calculation requirements for suspense balances related.
Approve and oversee controlled vendor postings for state, federal, and NRA backup withholding.
Performance Monitoring and Quality Assurance
Review service provider’s performance metrics, such as accuracy rates in lease crude ticket processing and timeliness of revenue packet submissions.
Identify and lead initiatives for process improvements and automation, focusing on enhancing efficiency in data entry, reconciliation, and reporting.
Address and resolve escalations in service quality, providing solutions to improve process integrity and efficiency.
Required Deliverables and Metrics
Accuracy Rate: Ensure accuracy in verifying and processing lease crude tickets and payments.
Timeliness: Monitor adherence to deadlines for monthly reconciliations, special payments, and report generation.
Compliance: Oversee regulatory reporting and ensure timely completion of 1099/1042 filings.
Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards in approving revenue packets and controlling payment distributions.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proficient in Accounting principles
Strong knowledge of SAP and BlackLine
Proficient in Microsoft and data management tools
Strong problem-solving and communication skills for effective coordination with external providers and internal teams
Ability to thrive in self-directed position
Preferred Qualifications:
Crude Oil First Purchaser acumen
Experience in managing outsourced operations
BOLO system understanding
