Absolute Staffers LLC is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietitian to join our healthcare team at the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs, ODVA. Primary Responsibilities
Review the resident’s medical history and assess the resident’s nutritional status
Interview and counsel the resident.
Record pertinent resident information in the resident’s medical record.
Develop nutritional care goals for the resident.
Confer and share specialized knowledge with members of the resident’s care team.
Conduct dietary, nursing, and Facility in services as scheduled.
Update policy and procedure manual with Dietary Manger and Facility Administrator as needed. Services provided based on resident needs at each facility(facilities). Providers must also attend quarterly training, audits, and menu planning sessions.
Menu Planning and Development
Develop and provide quarterly regional menus that align with VA and USDA
dietary standards, ensuring variety, cultural relevance, and seasonal
appropriateness.
Incorporate resident feedback and dietary needs, including therapeutic diets and
modified textures.
Ensure menus are standardized across all homes, with flexibility for site-specific
adjustments.
Utilization of production sheet to pull/thaw products for daily production.
Cost Control and Budgeting
Maintain food costs per resident at or below $14.50 per day, inclusive of all meals
and snacks.
Align all menu items with approved purchasing lists and vendor platforms.
Collaborate with facility food service managers to identify cost-saving
opportunities without sacrificing quality or nutrition.
Qualifications:
Registered and licensed Dietitian in the State of Oklahoma
Experience Requirements
At least 3 years of experience working in long-term care or healthcare food service.
Experience with budget-conscious menu planning and vendor coordination.
Familiarity with VA/state nutrition standards preferred.
